Your report and the pics brings back every time good memories. Thanks.

Never saw a single monkey over the weekend

Where did you see the rhino TE?

*Argh* Every time these difficult question. I think Addo is the only place, where i get lost on a trip, and i never remember the name of the waterholes or loops. But i show some of my pics, perhaps you or other could identify the places.

The rhino was pushed away from these ellies. They wasn't friendly to the rhino.

And Addo is the only camp, where we are to late at the gate. And the in normal times nice and happy Guy at the gate was in this time not friendly. And yes, he was right. He said some things to us. But it was ok, and after this, he let us in without a fine. Thanks.

Whew - I would only be guessing as to where you saw those super rhino sightings. I am longing to see a black rhino either at Addo or Mountain Zebra :D

I`m so stupid. I never realised that this is a black rhino. I always look for rhinos, equal black or white.
Mountain Zebra? You mean this beautiful horse in a piyama:

Yes

Those are black rhino - there are only black rhino (no white rhino) in Addo & MZNP so your pics are very special!

Edit - to be more clear.

We never had the feeling, that this is a special sighting. It looks for us really normal. But i think now, when i go back to Addo, i will never again see a rhino. It's like others never see cats (hi bert) or LITS (me & others).

Edit: The Rhino-Sighting was very special. So special like all the other special sightings on our holidays in SA. Should i begin to tell? :D About places, friendly Saffies, excellent dining, wonderful game viewing, lekker amarula. Okay, i stop.

I like Addo very much, it is a small but very well maintained NP.The last time we had been very lucky with our sightings.
Have you met Megan? And did you hear anything about the Lion cubs?Do they develop well?

Did not hear anything about the lion cubs. I know a lioness was seen at Harpoor waterhole that week but no one mentioned cubs so it must have been the other lioness.

I did not meet Megan. It was such a short weekend visit and I did not want to ask for her over the weekend - but next time!
