Morning ForumPeeps

Today last day at work, the only place i sit on forum constantly, making space for my trip report. Only 3 1/2 sleeps till i leave and won't be on the forum till tuesday night, depending on signal of course.

have pack all my small writing pads in notebook bag so can be as accurate as possible with sightings and descriptions for you all.

counting the hours i hope i have a good weekend so time can fly, monday Bakkie going in for a service while we go and buy all our provisions, including a 12v torch that got redistributed to the needy without even a minutes service.

hit the sack i hope by 7 the latest so can wake up at 11 and pack the cooler boxes. and hit the road between 0:00 and 1:00.

Anyways since it will be my first trip report i hope its gonna be a good one. We have included a walk and a sunset drive, and hope to see my pangolin being chased by a bushpig

hey guys, not a great get away, so and "friends" only ept moaning, wat we have tdrive so long where the lions where the leopards. got a bit very much lost temper almost a few times.

had to explain why feed ing the birds is bad.......
also to tourists, those chops.

but ya thats my problem though.

but just a quic foresight into the pics to come.............

no leopard,
no cheetah,
very few hyena
+- 25 sable
+- 20 lion
duke @ 2m for about 20mins
little ellies,
little buffs
maningy impala, kudu, gnu + zebra's.

pkop very dissapointing with sightings, tamboti nice camp but no sightings, incl. the sunset drive only a civet + awc and 2 genets.

the resident "fundi" said large and small spotted, i really beg to differ, she saw a buff and yelled out "stop, stop......hyena.....reverse reverse.

but ya my own fault shouldn't have taken stoners with me. next time i come alone.

tomorrow leave this place back t jhb.

have decided to extend my studies and open a tourism thingy. i hate the city i don't want to leave here but ya.

so i hope within 2 years t obe full qualified with my own tourism thingy.
and the plus side is dutch people love the bush so i can do it all in my native tongue.

stayed tuned for pic.

ya one more thing, swore alot of speeders, had 1 rabbit road kill, and a few more dead incl. elephant but all to come.

hi Anne-Marie

i agree with you, i did climb out of the car a few times to pic up rubbish on the road, i did how ever not if the rubbish was in the veld, hated the site but was a bit weary of the animals.

the pollution is getting a bit pathetic.

we don't even throw cigarettes out the window but i saw those big black plastic garden refuse bags stuck in trees, plastic shop packets in trees, 2lt plastic bottles, cans. there was alot of pollution lying around tamboti, but when we were there there was a strong wind and the baboons were on the "prowl" they even emptied the dustbin on our veranda while we were walk to the car. the troop leader(i think as he was huge) and i had a bit of a stare down and i chased him away

Are you sure the ele was dead and not just sleeping? I have seen numerous eles lie down for a does during my visits to Kruger. :?

could be, we were there for bout 10 mins, not even a twitch of the ear, but wasn't near to our other camps, so couldn't check up again.

i presumed it was dead, but yeah
