Again a big thank you to all of you!

Next morning we made a trip to Tw.Rivieren.A Honey Badger
crossed our way.He was in such a hurry,SO sould hardly take a good pic.
ImageImage
But we felt happy anyhow,H.Badger was always on our wish
list.This was our first ever.
Kamfersboom had some Oistrichs to offer.

Who could resist to take a pic of this lovely pair of Pygmy
Falcon? They are such pretty looking birds!

We heard so much about the "famous"Leopards from Tw.Rev.,but we havn't had the chance to see them yet.
Maybe when we go back to K.Krankie.Instead of Leopards.we
had a good sighting of these fellows.

Thank you again for your kindness to make compliments to my
report and SO's pix!
The young lions were entertaining us for a while.

I like the expression of this face.

In between all those Lions these birds (Turtle-Doves,Yell.Canaries and Cape Sparrows,I think)
were trying to have a drink.

Few meters away the King himself and his Lady.

A very strong and healthy looking Kalahari male!

It seems, the Park was filled with Lions in Sept.07.

It's always the same!If you do anything you like.if you stay in a place you adore and enjoy, time goes by much to quick.
You don't really want to spend just a thought of it.You can
hardly belief, that the time would come to say Good-by.
Everyone of you knows what I mean.
We had 2 days to go,only. We always try to take impressions with us,as much as we can.
Kind of sad we drove on.Next stop-Rooiputs was peaceful
and quiet.Wildebeest enjoying the sun

The last night in K.K wasn't very pleasent, due to the strong
wind.We didn't get much sleep,so we stayed in bed a bit longer than usual. Our mood wasn't the best.We knew,we had to leave soon. This was the last day and night we had in the Park.A last look over the red Dunes at K.Krankie and off we went to Tw.Rivieren.Driving the Lower Duneroad was very quiet and easy going.
ImageImage

While this young male was trying to get away with an old prey
ImageImage
the other 2 Lions tried to drink some water. This looked really
funny.
Image

Before we checked in at Tw.Rivieren we made a stopp at
Samevloeing.Three healthy-looking Eland were standing in the
middle of the waterhole.
Image

A Cape Cobra on the side of the road

ImageImage
and this little fellow, next to our chalet
Image
were our last sightings.
After a rest
Imageand packing
we had Dinner at the restaurant.(which was much better than
the year before).
Next morning we had to leave for Joburg.
We enjoyed every minute in the Park.Every single Euro we
have spent was worthwhile. We also take a lot of good memories and experiences back home to Austria.
But now it's time to say Good-by!

AUF WIEDERSEHEN KGALAGADI 2008!!
