Hi EJ
Glad to hear from you again -- sounds as if you had a great camp.
Also pleased to hear you got transport again and you can get around and do your thing.
Are you not doing any more drives for Berg en Dal? it was always interesting to read about the animals you saw and the people you took around.

BnD have not called me for a while.....but I have been away a bit too. It sometimes goes like that......no drives for a while. Then suddenly I will do a lot again........ Just at the moment bush camp has me on a piece of elastic instead....

Good to hear your wheels are back. It was a long wait. The bush camps sound amazing - amazing in that I don't think I could do them - much as I would love to.
We'll be in Malelane arriving late on Tues. 13th - I tried to book a night drive (phone call to the gate - but in the end they advised me to book it when we arrived) Still hoping to do one with you ecojunkie on the 14th (if you're in camp). Excitement is getting to me - can't wait to get to Kruger.

Thursday was a quick trip to Skukuza with my 'boss'.....and we were almost an hour and half late leaving because she had to suddenly find a 2nd guide for the bush camp starting that day! The guide scheduled was one of the park guides....but had resigned and nobody had told us!!!! For a while it looked as if I was going to have to race back to the caravan, pack, and do the camp myself.....

Once in Skuks we managed to get almost everything done. I will have to get some stores on my way back from bush camp on Wednesday but that is all that we did not get done. Rushed back as I was supposed to do the sunset drive (we had got the Malelane guide to do the bush camp, so I then had to do the drives.....) But in the end the other guide at camp decided to delay his days off until Sunday, so I am off the hook there too.

Friday was more office work, especially end of month stats.....

Today I went to Skuks again to do marathon duty.....stood on the Lake Panic road near the golf course end with my rifle watching the runners go past me. Very interesting.....! Some seemed to know me.....not sure how, others I did know of course. And some decided they had to have a photo of me too (think it was the novelty of a little old lady with a big rifle!!!!). No excitement other than a hippo crossing the road next to me before the race started. I stood still, it glanced at me, and kept going.

Tomorrow off to bush camp again.....busy packing and thinking what I need.....
