Did a sunset drive tonight in the rain. Still reasonable sightings.....starting with a leopard in tree near the BnD turning. It had been there most of the day too! Gone when we came back later, predictably! Also had impalas, crocs (a couple of biggies at Matjulu bridge), rhnos, hyena, genet, 2 spotted eagle owls, zebras, scrub hares, duiker.

Rain has stopped at the moment.

Sunset drives in the rain can be fun, although if the rain pelts into the cabin, that may make things more miserable. Shows you that the animals don't mind the rain too much, as they came out to pose for you, EJ.

Good luck with your eye op EJ. I'm sure all will be well. When do you get back to Malelane ? We will be in the area from 9th to 16th November.

Should be around at the start of your trip - going to Letaba (hopefully) 13th.

Been in Skuks since Thursday, but no time to get outside camp. Heard hyenas around, and lots of bird life.

Course has gone well, and just this morning to complete now. Not easy doing some lecturing with wonky eyesight, but I managed. Harder still using the computer....but only a few more days and all should start to improve again.

Hi EJ. Yes we sometimes don't appreciate good eyesight but when we dont have perfect sight we start to appreciate our blessings. Thinking of you and hope in a couple of weeks you will be fine. Regards, D.
