Hi All forumites

I'm off to the park again for a couple of days. Will be staying in Pretoriuskop for 3 nights. Have been in and out of the park over lunch time last week and it seems like the south are becoming drier day by day which should provide some good sightings over the weekend around the Sabie River and dams(hold thumbs)! Anybody been around Pretoriuskop - Phabeni - Skukuza area in the last few weeks? Would like to know which areas have been burned recently.

Regards
Katmal

An early start to the the day as we leave Pta at 2am. Arrived 6am at Malelane gate!

Great morning which included several rhino, elephant and lone buffalo sightings. Highlight being nice herd of tsessebe close to P'kop on tar.

Things getting drier. Plenty game around water. Ticked off kudu impala, warthog, zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and girafffe at Transport Dam. Lovely weather. Regards from the Park!

Katmal.

Wow - what a great start to his trip!

Fantastic afternoon. Saw 2 male cheetah and followed them for 15 min on tar close to Transport Dam. Eventually they flushed a young steenbok and caught it next to the road.

Otherwise some more ellies, rhino and general game.

Having a cold one around the fine!

WOW!!!!

Morning drive started at 6 with anoher bit of magic. Pride of 6 lionesses hunting huge herd of buffalo 2 km before Numbi Gate right in the road. They did not succeed but what a great start.

Rest of morning was just as good with regular rhino and ellies, as well as hyena. Burned areas at P'kop attracting plenty of game.

Game seems to be around water mostly! This mornings drive yielded 11 lions and huge herd of buffs at Transport Dam. Saw ellies, rhino and tsessebe close to Shitlave Dam. Saw the 2 cheetah on way back from b'fast again near Transport Dam.

Good day for birding - martial eagles and plenty birds at Lake Panic.

Greetings from a warm Kruger!

Just left the Park but will be back soon!

This morning once again we had quality sightings of rhino and a cheetab on top of a termite mound! With winter in full swing the Park is really cooking and it will improve even more in a months time!

Safe trip back!
