Some new info about my trip.
This time I will introduce my company.

We started to think about South Africa with my brother Petr around 3 years ago. any of our friends visitin SA was saying, it is great trip.

Finally last year it looked, it could come true. We also included in our group a friend Eva. She went already for some trips wit my and also with Petr. That is three of us :D
At last, when i told my dad, I am going to SA, he ask me, if he could join us. He always wanted to see wildlife, Kruger and Drakensberg. So we are now 4 people. Just enough to one big car.
dad will join us only for part of trip to Cape Town. He has to go back to work. But still will do a lot!
that is something new for today,
Pavel

Some information concerning our equipment to capture wildlife and country.

the main tool we will have is Digital SLR Nikon D80+ amazing lens 28-300mm DX VR2 (vibration reduction  ) to get snap shots anytime anywhere.

for video we have Mini DV camcoder Canon MV40 with couple cassets.

to store all the pictures i bring 20GB HDD with MP3 player from iAudio and also laptop HP with 60GB Harddrive-.
that should be enough 8)
finnaly I got MDA compact2 mobile phone combined with PDA and capable of sending reports to you, hopefully directly from trip :D

13 days to go!!!

I can sense the excitement you have anticipating your trip to SA but I must suggest that you are trying to squeeze too much (especially too much distance) into too short a period of time.

To land in Johannesburg and make it Mapungubwe in the same day is a difficult start to a holiday.

Also if I look at:
11.4.2007 Blyde Canyon
12.4.2007 Giant castle N.P
13.4.2007 Oribi Gorge N.R.
14.4.2007 Dwesa N.R.
15.4.2007 Addo Elephant N.P

Between each of these places is pretty much a full days drive

Also Royal Natal to Pilansberg in a day is very difficult.

I think that unless you halve the number of places you are planning to visit you will end up being too rushed and tired to to enjoy them.

Sorry to sound so blunt but this is my honest opinion.

Hi,

thanks for message. I know it is very ambitions plan
You know, but for first trip I tend to see as much places as possible. Eventhoug just for 1-2 days.
who know, if I will be able to come back someday.
We will see, how much we can cover with driving from park to park. If we do not have time, we still can skip some park.

Watch closely my report, how we are doing

Thanks for comments on trip planning.

We did some changes in planning.
We will include one day in Hluhluwe safari, few people recommended it.
we will also stay two days in Kalahari, already booked night in MataMata

this means we will shorten Addo and Augrabies to only short stops.

Pavel is on the busiest road in Saffieland right now.

The African Zionist Church, congregates and meets every Easter, close to Pholokwane.
It is an annual pilgrimage taken very seriously by the Zionist organisation.
Hundreds of thousands are congregating right now.
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.
