Kruger has become our special birthday destination : Feb '07

Unread postby gavinl » Wed Feb 28, 2007 9:48 pm

This March is the 3rd birthday that we spend in KNP. Last year we did Ingrid's birthday at Talamati. We took some people who have never been, did not see much, but it was a beginning of a tradition. We spent my 40th at Lower Sabie, was awesome, only problem birthday is 26 Dec. The heat did not stop us, saw the big 5 twice over plus much more, took over 700 photographs in 4 days. This year we are in Berg-en-Dal for Ingrids birthday. We are taking the family (2 grown boys and their attachments) with us. All we long for is the tranquility and peace - celebrating our coming into this world by being so close to nature.

I see you have an image of an Impala that was playing in the sable genepool...

here
At the end of it all you don't want to go into the grave peacefully and quietly in well preserved body... You want to go sort off skidding in sideways, full of bruises and scratches saying: "Man what a ride!!!"

The Impala with the "Sable" horns was photographed on the Biyamiti road. If there is anybody out there that can give some info on how this happened it will be great. Also have some different angle shots.
