Hi everyone.
I am extremely tired from a weekend dash to the KNP.
What a weekend :!: Just a synopsis of the weekend's sightings.
Got into the park at Croc Bridge at about 12.45 on Saturday. The first thing we saw in the Crocodile river was a big shining white bone. Got into the park proper and the sightings began. First sighting for the day was an Impala ram. followed by: wildebeest.
giraffe.
vervets.
dung beetle...
lions X 14 lionesses with semi-adult cubs.
hyena.
vultures
elleis.
baboons.
wild dogs. x 5
eagle.
crocodile.
big cat fish jumping.
hippo.
hamerkop.

Subset Drive from LS:

impala.
leopard tortoise.
rhinos x 6
zebras.
wildebeest.
kudu ram.
beautiful sunset.
elephant bull.
young elepant.
buffaloes.
lions x3 (2 males 1 female)
wild dogs.x 5
lions x3 males.
honey abdger.
giraffe.

SUNDAY 05 02 07

warthogs.
buchills coucal.
buffaloes.
maribou.
ellies with suckling calf.
bushbuck.
steenbok.
giraffe.
impis.
leopard.
maribou.
baboons.
ellies
wildebeest.
zebras.
wild dogs with young. about 15
lions x 3 females.
more general game. :D :D :D To be continued....

The honey badger sighting was a good one in that wesaw it for about two minutes but because it ran away from the road and stopped a distance away, we could not take any pictures.

Yes, Deville, we did manage to get some pics which I will post shortly.

Elsa, the wild dogs we saw on Saturday afternoon and during the sunset drive were the same five while the one's we saw on sunday was a much bigger pack on Salitje.
