Stopping at Kumana dam there was a pair of Saddle-billed storks

but what is it there to the right of the stork...

and then decided to try and stalk something in the grass...

but unfortunately it was getting late and to get to Satara on time they had to leave...

On their way back to Satara near Sweni they found a breeding herd of ellies

and also this lot right next to the road...

Was fairly dark already and they had to rush back, just making it in time.
(earlier at the junction with N'waswitsonso they also 3 white rhino next to the road and some big herds of buffalo - giving the lucky tourist great sightings of the big5 in 1 afternoon :roll: :lol: )

It's a Hamerkop :!: :D




Ain't it funny that when you are in a rush to get back to camp, the good stuff then comes out and gives you a dilemma. Do you watch what you really came for, or get back to camp on time.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".
