Can anyone help with an ID for this flower, seen at Nylsvley (Limpopo) in late April 2012.

Don't really know what you mean by 'description', all I have is the photo and after 4 months I don't remember any details about it :wink:

My best guess would be Blepharis subvolubilis subsp. subvolubilis, Eyelash Flower in English.

I would say it's Blepharis obtusispetala although I am surprised to see it flowering in April which is way out of its usual flowering period.

Thanks naturelover and Johan. I've googled a bit and Blepharis subvolubilis certainly looks like what's in my photo 8) — and I also found nada for Blepharis obtusispetala :hmz:

Looks like cleome - don't have my flower books handy to look up scientific name at the moment.

Cleome angustifolia is the scientific name for the yellow cleome.
