I saw this African Wild Cat next to the road on our way to Tambotie Tented Camp.

Did You Know? :hmz:
The eyes of the African Wild Cat kittens only open 10 - 14 days after birth.

Did You Know? :hmz:
The African Wild Cat can catch birds as big as a Helmeted Guineafowl. They are caught close to waterholes and caught out of the air.

Whilst travelling on the S36 during the middle of the day I saw an AWC ad her kitten in the road. As I was stopping they quickly moved off into the thick undergrowth. After scouring the bush I saw the mother on an anthill and managed to get a photo of her. My first photo of an AWC.

We saw one leisurely trotting on the tar road between Pretoriuskop and Skukuza on 19 Feb 2013 at about 09h00 It unfortunately disappeared very quickly into the long grass on the side of the road when it became aware of us and before I could take a photograph. Made our day and visit though Greetings to all of you. :D
