Afternoon

During our vist to KNP last week we photographed this elephant outside the Shingwedzi Camp gate. I was informed that this could possible be Timaka - can someone verify please.

I am unable to upload an image as it is on my PC thus would appreciate some assistance as I am not great with this type of technology.

If you have a look Here you might be able to say whether the Ellie you saw is Timaka from this pic of him on Aat's wonderful tusker site.

Thanks for sending the picture. I have good and bad news. Bad news is that it was not Timaka. The good news is that you have seen a named tusker, called Machachule.

You asked me to post your picture here, glad to do that for you.

From a distance and based on the tusks he looks very much like Machachule. I assume you have seen him in the Shingwedzi area ?

I took a copy of your picture and anlarged it. I can see the notch in his left ear , including his tusks I can confirm that it was Machachule.
