For many years I carried around the notion that the two are easily confused with each other.
In Natal we were alerted by our neighbours one morning that the shy troop of Samango's were in camp.
They certainly resemble each other very fleetingly.

In my opinion a samango monkey is incredibly naughty we used to stay on a farm in goerges valley and we had a troop of samango monkeys that used to visit our house daily, we noticed our dogs were getting extremely thin even though they were being fed twice a day and then we saw it the samangos would divert the dogs attention while the others stole their dog food out their bowls, my alsatian naturally couldn't resist chasing them it was his highlight reel for the day and then came back to an empty bowl it eventually cost us to give the dogs food and the samangos against our will not long after we then had a whole peacock family doing the same thing needless to say our Dog Food was a hefty expense!! Eish

That's clever!

Clever it was but what I still find so fascinating till this day is that they loved DOG FOOD! Seriously If I hadn't seen an experienced it with my own eyes I would never have believed it if someone had told me that peacocks loved dog food not to mention the monkeys lol
