Hmmm .... debate :hmz:
Seeing the males did the catching, maybe it was her birthday? Or she got those three under her paw!

Everyone always say the females are the hunters and the males just take over the kill.This might be true,but I think the only reason why males do not hunt or do not do so much hunting is because they are never around.They always need to remark there territory.And the females have nothing better to do except hunting or just sleep 20hours per day.

If you read the book 'Prime ORIGINS Guide to Exploring Kruger' on page 43 it states "males are responsible for atleast as many kills as females"

Though thats just my opinion :wink:

The females usually hunt, but are not powerful enough to bring an adult buff down, so the males help out.

I have seen a lioness bring down an adult buff without any physical help from the rest of her pride. She then lay sprawled out on top of the buff for quite a while catching her breath.
