Since late March of this year, we have seen 9 leopards so far. The six mentioned earlier after which we saw a young leopard in the sausage tree situated next to the small loop after the bridge from L/S on the way to CB. when the three or four cars departed it came down and walked towards us for a few meteres, felt shy and stood behind a bush with its face peeking out. Climbed the tree once more and then disappeared from sight.
Went again over the long weekend at the end of April and saw two more, the first one was on the opposide dside of the river shortly before reaching Sunset Dam. it was fairly far and visible through binos. the second was on the S 114 experimental section of tar road closer to Skukuza end sleeping in a tree. there were apparently teo more which had climbed down before we got there.
We will be going again ina couple of days time and hope to see many more.
Also of note, during the long weekend, two cheetahs on the first day, Will and Harry on S 29 close to H 10. four on the LS to CB road weaving their way into the bush. Two sititng on the H 5 right in the middle of the road on the lat morning not long after we had just seen our very first caracal ever in the park. A truly memeborable weekend it was for us having also seen a blackie close to LS as well as Duke with his radio collar not far from CB.
Wish us luck on the next trip

Been very lucky as far as Leopard sightings go recently. Saw a big male early morning around Satara back in January and then whilst doing a bit of birding on the S25 last week, busy ID'ing a Dark Chanting Goshawk, I looked up for a split second only to find this beauty staring straight at me...

Widchild, hello from the UK, we were the ones parked near to you when we saw the young leopard, near Lower Sabie jumping high in the tree & we chatted & you told us this was a juvenile & shared information on it with us. We hope to return next year & to see more leopards!!! Nice to hear about all of your Kruger visits.

Hi back from another Kruger trip. Stayed outside in Malelane and was fortunate to see leopard everyday. Not so furtunate was our first sighting of the trip, someone had knocked a leopard on the Skukuza L.S. road on Wednesday afternoon.
The second leopard was on the short stretch of raod between the Skukuza T junction and the fourway stop to the picnic area and the low water bridge.
The third was on the S 65 wiich had a kill in a tree but was very shy. caught gimpses of her twice on the tree but she then very quickly went back down.
The last sighting was yesterday morning. While driving on the back road to Tshokwane, we came to the turn off to the high water bridge and about forty metres in front of us a leopard crossed the road, stood under a thick bush and then walked into the dense bush.
None of these sightings were real photo opportunities, so not much to share.

We saw this mother and cub on our first day in the park 10 06 10. Spent most of the afternoon watching and waiting... watching and waiting for them. See more of them in my thread Just Another Day in Kruger in Travel Tales.
