Saw a coalition of 4 adult, but young males on the border of the Sable pride a week or so ago. Don't know who they are.

Report just in that one of the Majingilane's has killed a young male member of the Styx pride in Sabi Sands...probably this morning.

In June this year I saw a coalition of 5 males on the S41 about 1 km from the S90 intersection. The next morning I saw them again this time on the S90 about a kilometre south of the S41 intersection. Unfortunately on both occassions they were far in and I could not get a decent photo.

After reading about the 6 male pride near croc bridge, I so wanted to see them, but no luck yet.
I try and visit Balule as much as possible and decided on Friday that a quick one nighter for Saturday will do the trick.
Then this morning on the way home we were driving down the S90 when we drove into a bit of a roadblock.
5 Male lions
There were 4 in the road, and 1 in the grass next to the road (just so I could not fit them all into one photo )
They were at Shitsalaleni pan, and I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen them.
They certainly were an impressive bunch together
I'll post some photos in the morning.

The lions were at Shitsalaleni pan cheetah2111, which is about halfway between Bangu WH and the S41.

They soon got up and went for a drink of water, but still I was only able to photogragh 4 of them



I would still love to know if anyone else has ever seen them.

Most definitely a goose bumps moment!
I have never been lucky enough to see more than two pride males together.
Can only imagine what it must have been like to stumble onto a sighting like that!

Hi everyone On the 2nd of April I came across 6 fully grown male lions on the H6!! These 6 lions then had a fight with a younger male lion (who probably owns the territory)

Would love to know if you have seen this lot?? And keep updates on their wherabouts and if they are still together!

I just watched a TV programme on Nat Geo Wild called "Lion Wars", about a megapride in the Nwanetsi area. I'm not sure when it was filmed but at the end of it there were 6 adolescent males who were about to be kicked out of the pride.

Who knows...maybe they are the same lions.

*edit* The programme was called "Lion Army".
