Dear Forumites

Though I understand the reasons for moving rhinos, I am still saddened to think that the chances for seeing such a magnificent beast again in our beloved Kruger is getting very, very remote.

So, if it is OK with the Mods, I would like to start a thread where we can share some of our most memorable sightings of the "unmentionables" we saw over the years (of course without disclosing the exact location)

Also agree not to disclose location, zone, dates etc
In memory of the "unmentionables" :|

I have many pictures of unmentionables. When I look at the pictures now, I do wonder if they are still alive.

One of those Rhino moments.

It was a boiling hot day and he/she had just the right idea.

As with many of you.......my soul stirs; not in a good way. I have my views, some of which some people don't agree with, but I am sure we all intuitively and quietly agree that this is a tragedy. I got back from Kruger earlier this month........this is my submission of Giant Shadows in the Grass

I find this photo tribute thread of Dupacc in honour of the last remaining Rhino’s disturbing in many ways - the human nature to destroy and kill and the fact that the Rhino’s are at the mercy of these humans who, according to my personal view, do not have any humanity or good in them.

But I also know many good humans who care in ways that go far beyond the evil of these killers are walking this earth and they are doing their best as we speak to protect the last remaining Rhino’s from these savage butchers who exist to make lots of money from the Rhino blood that they spill each day.

Saraf the photograph that you have posted is great. I wish the Rhino’s could quench their thirst like that on a daily basis in a world where these brutal Poachers are absent and gone. In fact I  for that wonderful time to come.

Once again the reality of what the poaching is doing to our wildlife is very saddening and I would like to post my pic in honor of those fighting in some cases extreme conditions to save our rhino/wildlife  (although location is visible it was taken 2 years back hope it ok) if not mods please remove.
