First time in Augrabies

Unread postby Guinea Pig » Sun Dec 23, 2012 3:30 pm

We just spent two nights in Augrabies National Park.

We were very impressed with what we found. Beautiful park, clean, well-maintained. We had trouble with the aircon in our unit. DuQues walked to reception to report it and the guy arrived to fix it seconds after he came back. Unfortunately it broke again but in no doubt it's probably fixed already.

We walked to the Falls and all paths and lookouts have been neatly repaired after the floods. The Admin block/reception/shop is probably one of the most impressive of any the SanParks Parks.

Thanks to Augrabies Guru for the night drive and it was great meeting you at last. Liked the fact that you happily sit at reception to welcome new comers.

Did the Western Section of the Park and won't recommend using a sedan on those roads! LOL That is where we saw most of the game though. Af en Toe picnic spot was spotless for one that isn't serviced daily.

Will definitely return.
