Clever buffs. They held their nerve and didn't make anything easy for the lions.

I love your narrative, it does add to the tension.

The Lions did look as though they were all pretty well fed. Those tummies were still rather full from the previous kill. Great viewing animal interaction at its best.

Thank you all for your kind comments and remarks. We have been away for awhile but are looking forward to our return in October for a well drilling project in Acornhoek as well as seeing our beloved Kruger again
