This was the mother to the chick in my previous post. She dropped her head behind the far side of her body and that is when I pressed the button. And this was the result. A 'headless' Ostrich

Last year in June I came across this group of Ostriches on the S41. All in all there were thirteen Ostriches, the most I have seen in one group in Kruger.

To see an Ostrich in the Kruger is always the weirdest thing for me. I saw this ostrich close to Satara. The one male was chasing another male away from the female.
