hello forumites

just a quick bulletin, a pair(male and female) of ostriches walked right in front of the camp in the afternoon. that was beautiful and graceful i must say.

hopefully they come back for the reason that they are WELCOME!!

hello Shaheen

we've had some pretty good sightings. the latest being of a kudu kill 1.3km from camp. it was recorded by Xirhombe on the night of the 11th. when i went on the sunset drive yesterday (12th) i only saw hyena but it was still an amazing feeling. leopard and sable sightings have also picked up. i just don't know how long that is gonna last, hopefully till you come

thanks Shaheen

september is good as far as visibility goes. again the fact that its still relatively dry by then, many of the animals are concentrated around water points. so it makes finding them easy.

yes indeed. two days ago on the sunset drive we saw a hyena feeding on a small pangolin. i was very reluctant to post since i could not get any photos because it was a too far. initially we thought it was a tortoise only to realise it had a tail. i went to the sighting spot yesterday morning but i could not find the carcass.

Wow, Hyena feeding on a Pangolin, that was definitely a very different sort of sighting Ras!
