Hey guys, im not looking for a party i was wondering if there were any special drives / dinners that one might find at camps for the old/new years. I know two years ago at Lower Sabie there was a 10pm drive that people had booked and stayed out until new years.

Dont worry Bush Baptist you will see me at the gate at 4am with coffee and camera in hand every morning im in kruger

I have spent 2 New Years in Kruger and enjoyed it so much that I am off for my third.

My first was in Punda. Some one got a boom box out and was ready to joll. They were told by management. My children met up with some young aussies and they spent the night chatting until past midnight.

They forgot to put the fruit away and we had an early morning raid by the dawn patrol.



Last year I spent New Year at Pretorius Kop. There was singing from the staff village, but it was more choral music that boom box music. I rather enjoyed it.

This year I will be at Tzendze and can't wait.

I've never done a New Year in the Park. I strongly suspect I'll be rectifying that very soon.

Lower Sabie had a night drive and braai last year at Mlondozi. I know that there were many anxious moments and concern about rain. I believe it ended up being a most enjoyable evening.

We have spent the past 10 years plus in the Park for New Year, unfortunately had to miss last year, so really looking forward to New Year at Tzendze this year.

We have spent the last few years in Kruger over Old years eve, in verious camps all have been peaceful just the Scops owls and bush music This 31st of December we will be in Malane Camp and I phoned Malalane Gate and booked an evening drive, they were so helpful and happy that they had someone going out on old years and home to malalane camp in the NEW YEAR 2013. to see and hear the noises in the bush beats any party or city noise. WE have also booked a Bush Braai in Satara on the 5th to celebrate our 40th anneversity ths I also booked at the camp and the staff were most helpful and a stay at Sable Hide 0n the 7th Jan < then we are off to Lower Sabie only 71 more days TO GO cant wait SO VERY EXCITED, This will be our first caravan holiday we have always used the bungalows so we are so excited

We spent New Year in Skukuza 2010.

Even though it's a large camp, people were just having family braais, or like us, were having a lovely meal in the Boma next to the retaurant.

It was a delicious meal, and we were finished by 9pm, and went back to our unit for a coffee and Amarula on the stoep, listening to the night sounds of Africa, and looking up to the amazing skies!!

We were in bed by 9.45pm ready for an early morning drive.

We spent New Years at Shingwedzi in 2007 and it was awesome, the restuarant arranged for a braai outside under the stars. No better way to spend new years, a braai with the Shingwedzi river in view and all the animal sounds. Damn now I can't wait for December to come.

We will be camping in BnD over new years eve This will be my first new years eve in the park.
Really looking forward to it , but I doubt i'll be up until midnight. Have to be up by 4am . We cannot miss the breakfast run to Afsaal.

We spent new years in Tsendze last year, and it was amazing. Went to bed early, only to be woken by lions roaring just after midnight. What a way to be woken in the new year This year we are going to spend it in Punda Maria, and I cannot wait.
