Raymonds adventures on the Wolhuter Trail have been promoted to their own topic, over here.

Hi All

I'm heading to Berg en Dal for a few nights in mid Aug, it will be my first time back to this area over the winter period for a number of years. Cant wait

Any drives/ waterholes / spots that you can recommend this time of year? Any suggestions?

Looking forward to feedback :D

Thanks

For me, the S110 (tar section between B & D and the H3) was a great stretch for Leopards

I would say that every road near BnD is worth to try it. You are in leopard territory and it's also great for birding

This leopard was photographed on the dirt road going up to the Berg and Dal Day Visitors area. At that time, it was still a no entry road.

Many leopards around there, and can be found on any of the roads :D
But the S110/H3 intersection would rank as a hotspot 8)
The S114 shortly before the S119 Gardenia turn off as well

morning all !

Was at BnD last week and we saw the (I presume) resident leopard attempt to catch some impala on the H3 just north of the tar road to BnD at about 6.30 am.
Too fast and dark for any snaps

Most days there were sightings around that area of it - if the sightings board was anything to go by.
