Its awesome to read this stuff this week: I'm booked for the trail on Sunday :-)
My fondest memory of it from the past are a dozen different highlights including a lioness who sneaked into camp at lunchtime to take a closer look at us chilling under the thatch lapa, coming to within 40 metres of two prides of lion while on foot, and hearing Mr Mets I, the resident leopard take a bushbuck at the front fence, while we were preping our water bottles for the morning walk.
And of course the amazing electrical storms that the mountain behind draws!!!!!! All power and no puddles :-)

Hope this week is even half as good. There are only 3 guests booked.

Hi,

I am planning a trip to Kruger in April, and am trying to decide between the Metsi-Metsi trail and the Sweni trail. Because it is the end of the rainy season, I'm wondering if there is a greater chance for encountering wildlife at one of these two wilderness trails. I know that that these wilderness trails are not necessarily about spotting the "big 5" and are by all accounts entirely unpredictable, but I would like to choose the trail based on a general likelihood of encountering wildlife.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello there,
I'm Martina, from Italy.

Will visit the KNP on September (2013) and would like to experience a wilderness trail. On 8th Sep the only trail still available is Metsi Metsi. Anyone did it before? September is a good month for this trail?

Thanks a lot!
