We will be at Lower Sabie on the 7th and would like to do the Bush Braai as well. Last time we were at LS, they told us the minimum amount of people for a Bush Braai was 4 people.

The best is to email or phone the Lower Sabie Camp and arrange it. Or message SurfCindy and ask how she went about it when she booked a bush Braai last year.

Yay! I think I skipped around the house... twice haha, Yes I will email Dorcus I have his email from Elsa who's another moderator on the forum, he sets the bush braai's up at lower sabie,

Can you PM me your emails and full names? I will CC you on the email I send to Dorcus

I just got an email from Dorcus, and he said "we are not busy at this time for the drives and braais you can book it

On arrival."

Is there a maximum # limit for people for the braais does anyone know? I wanted to book in advance so as to know what time I should be at rest camp by,

Guessing the other way of doing this is calling the rest camp when we land in Johannesburg on the 5th of June....

Jesscan1 I found this on another forum "For those wanting to add a Bush Braai please email Lower Sabie to do so. They'll need details of your existing reservation. Best to send your email to patiencem@sanparks.org, Patience Mabaso is the Duty Manager and she has to approve the request before it can show on your reservation as confirmation."

Will try and contact this other email and let u know what they say

otherwise the option would be to call, we're from canada so its a little more complicated for us to call or I can arrange it when we get to south africa on june 5th,
Lower Sabie Rest Camp: June 7th
Marloth Park: June 8/9/10
Lower Sabie: June 11th

Hi there.
Are there any more updates and news regarding 'bush braais' being offered by the camps with the new restaurants?
Specially looking for any information about Satara and PKop camps. Thanks. Here's hoping the Mods can give me some advice on who to contact to help arrange something special for family group celebration at these camps mentioned. Cheers .

Thanks Elsa for the feedback so far....

Perhaps it best I contact Satara direct? Is there a link you can share, where I can find the details for the Hospitality Manager of Satara.

Regards :)

I've contacted all of our scheduled camps, and so far have only heard back from Satara. They offer a bush braai with a minimum of 6 people at R595.90 per person departing at 1700 provided by Mugg & Bean. So, I suppose if we could find 4 more people who match our dates at Satara (below) we could get something booked. Anyone out there interested?
