I live in the UK but hold dual nationality with South Africa and will be travelling to Kruger next February, I had been advised and have in the past paid the South African citizens conservation fees, however, when trying to order a Wildcard they are asking for my ID number as well as South African Passport number, I do not have an up to date ID number the only one I have is in my maiden name and was issued prior to 1981, when I paid for conservation fees last year at the gate I only had to show my South African Passport no ID document was required. Does anyone have any advise re this? As rather confused.
Thank you for your answer only there have been many postings re South African citizens living abroad not having to pay for the international card on the Wild Card forum in the past, has this changed recently do you know.

Even though it was issued in the Apartheid era, my ID book is the old Green book with 13 digit number which partly includes my date of birth, does this sound correct? Thanks for you help.
Thought that was great all good to go, then just for your info noticed my ID number is quoted in my SA passport and the last two digits differ. I entered into wildcard screen together with passport no, however, when going on the passport no is removed and only the ID number is quoted, bit concerned on entering park they won't accept my passport as id and will want my id card/book which I don't have. Any ideas anyone?
