Wildcard purchase at gate

Unread postby toneyridge » Thu Mar 21, 2013 8:32 pm

I email Wildcard last year before our trip to Kruger, we come most Novembers from the UK and frequently bring friends with us. Because we can only come once a year and only just stay long enough to get value out of our card we plan our next years holiday so we can get another holiday out of it so I have to buy it at the gate. Having made certain we would have no problem buying at the gate our friends and us bought the cards with no problem at Crocodile Bridge and were told to go online as soon as possible to finish the registration.
This we did on our return, we heard nothing for 3 months so I prompted them and have just received my card.
I would actually prefer to buy my card online but the start date is when its processed which means to be sure you get it you have to appy several months before your need it to guarantee you will have received it, which very much limits its usage.
Perhaps Wildcard could consider post dating cards for International visitors after all we give our passport numbers and the accommodation booking confirms our arrival, so why should it be detrimental to them.

If you have your card now, there is no need to buy another one, you can just renew it at the first gate you come to and the start date for the 12 months will be the day of the renewal. You can renew your card up to 3 years after the last expiry date.
