No Johan, the card is now yours to keep.

Hopefully when you come to renew it the online renwal system will be working as planned, with no phone call.

We received our Wildcard yesterday, it seems it has been at the post office for a while and nobody bothered to put a slip in our post office box to inform us that the card was waiting to be collected. Anyway after 7 phone calls I tracked it down and sent SO to collect it, now we have a question and I don't know where to ask it, I am going to ask it here but if it is not the correct place please feel free to move it. Our Wildcard is valid until 10 July 2012. We are entering the park on 01 July and exiting 14 July, we do not want to renew our Wildcard, so would we be able to pay the conservation fees in cash for the days between our card expiring and the day that we are leaving (4 days in total) and how much would it be for 3 adults? Thank you

Tent Dweller, the conservation rates for SA citizens up to 31st Oct 2012 are R48.00 per day per adult. R24 for children.

I'm sure you will be able to pay for them, either at the gate you enter or when you check into the camp you are staying in.

Received our Wildcard yesterday - thanks to Toni at Wildcard for sorting out where the hold up was and to the POST OFFICE who had it for 3 weeks and didn't bother to send out a notification :slap: :slap: :slap: :slap: about time you got your act together - not the first time this has happened. :slap: :slap:

My SO is still waiting for hers even though she updated her details immediately after the system changed. Since then she has "updated" her details at least 4 times. She is no longer bothering to "update" details and will just apply for a new one when we next visit the KNP.

Do you mean the card was purchased and details were updated for the first time in about October 2010 when the system changed? :?
If so then that "card" will now be expired.
I was advised not to try to renew mine but just to apply for a new card with a new number - in other words start again like a first time visitor.
Good luck! :hmz:

Hi Kite we had the card for some time before October 2010 and it is/was our intention to just purchase a new one. However Saraf has asked me to send aPM and will try and sort the matter out for my wife. Reason why it is just for my wife is that I have qualified for a 35 year card and I have already received that card.

My WILD CARD!
I did post under "wild card not received" which was under new topics and had a little look at wild card index , but so many topics were locked that I also posted under 'Good and Bad News".
I think it should also be here although it arrived a few days ago.
I am hoping the reason there are fewer posts and queries is because cards are steadily arriving!
