poe25: Laughing at Hillbrow (WITH APOLOGY)

I have to go down to the Park again
To the lonely Park and sky;
Where the stars at night
Are extra bright
And a hyena goes shuffling by.

I have to go to the wilds this year
To feel the night-wind blow;
To sit at the embers of a lonely fire
Listen to the strains of nature's choir
And feel my spirit grow.

I will go to the Park this year
To get to myself again;
Where Nature fills up
Life's empty cup
And takes away the city-pain.

I'll be back in the Kalahari this year
Travel to Union's End;
And I'll laugh at the sky -
the eagle floating by:
The camp is just around the bend

And I'll pitch my old tent
On the sand I know well;
And I'll remember the silence -
Nature's fresh, clean smell;
And I'll sit there at dawn:
Doze for a spell -
And pity the poor sods
In Hillbrows' own hell.
