Veterinary Students Elective Clinic
It has been agreed that final year veterinary students from South Africa, within Africa and faculties overseas, be given the opportunity to obtain practical experience in game capture and aspects of wildlife management with the wildlife units of SANParks.
There are two units, one is based at and is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the Kruger National Park (KNP) and the second, responsible for Southern Parks, is based in Kimberley. Both wildlife units consist of a veterinarian/s and a game capture team. The time spent by students in the different reserves will comprise part of the practical component/elective clinic of their undergraduate degree.
All enquiries should be directed to the VWS office administrator.
