Dear all,

sorry to be sooooo late.  I said I will be late with posting but ….
I wrote this report on Monday but it is only posting this today Thursday. Well Jobourg syndrome , no time for anytHing.
Here it goes:
I was at work today and now still recovering from lack of sleep. Get up at 4:30 every day and could not be in bad before 9:30. As much as I hate JHB, it is nice to get out of bed whan it is daylight.

We are back in JHB. Left park on Sunday lunch time. I will do the postings for the last three days separately.

On Friday we left camp in time. Took S21, as it gave us so much joy and THERE WAS HARDLY ANYHING.

Crossing H4

In the  afternoon we decided to do Pretoriuskop road. It was pretty hot, so we were relaxed and chatting without paying much attention and THEN BIG BANG.
I could not believe my eyes.  In the middle of the road. He wanted to cross the road.  No other cars. C Stopped and it was blocking his way so Pangolin turned and very fast got back on the other side of the road. I did not have much time. Could not even see his head. Only couple of pictures and he was gone. These pictures are the proof that he was real. Our first Pangolin.

I think I already told you about OUR Big Five: Porcupine, Aardvark, Honey Badger, Pangolin and Aardwolf. We are still missing the Aardwolf. BUT Pangolin …..

I am only sorry I have not seen his head. How many times in ones life one see a Pangolin !!!!

On the way back to the camp, we were driving and talking and there was a rhino a hundred meters in the bushes. Having a lot of time we stopped and look through binoculars.  And it was a BLACK Rhino (Check every rhino you see).

Very, very exciting Friday.
I promise to do the weekend photos ASAP.
