Birds or Spring is Coming

Good day,

Temperature is still moderate but it is getting hotter again. I think tomorrow, after work, we will “check” Bergendal pool.
Nature is little by little waking up. Leaves are coming out slowly and shyly. Some areas around Bergendal, which were burned in June, have already got small patches of green grass.
And birds are starting to sing.  Crested and black-collard barbets are regular here, but now an oriole joined them in entertaining us. As soon as the camp gets quiet and everyone is gone to game drives, the birds start their songs.
I am dedicating this blog to some bird pictures which I have taken earlier, but never had a chance to post.

These Seddle-billed Storks at Matjulu river

We hear Fish Eagle call nearly every day

Martial Eagle

Stilt at Sunset Dam

White-backed Vulture

Green Pidgeon

Lizard Buzzard

I do not know. Is it Booted Eagle ????
These are the Camp regulars:

Yoy have to trust me, it is oriol

Crested Barbet

Long-tailed Shrikes - very vocal

And for the end couple of White Rhino pictures. I do not want them jealous because of yesterdays postings:

Still Sleepy

And just to let you know, on today’s  morning drive ( 1 and 1/2 hour) I have seen 14 White Rhinos in total.

Regards OB
