Dogs at last
Hi there and thank you very much for your nice comments.
The lion from Friday is one of the 3 brothers we used to see in February, before they disappeared from the area. Guides from Bergendal told me that they are back now, and have been spotted around S119. Our lion was waiting for us near Lukimbi turn off.
Yesterday morning was busy. I met that big buffalo heard and HAD my camera with me. So, I DID some pictures. Hyenas were out again and ready for photographing…
But the highlight came in the afternoon drive. I left camp at 4:30 for a short drive and just above the Matjulu river bridge there they were.
I have not seen Dogs for all these three weeks being in the camp. Yes there was a brief encounter previous weekend, but it was short and with only one of them.
Laying on the road and panting.
Obviously, they had an unsuccessful hunt. They were resting on the road for at least ten minutes giving me a pleasure of observing them.
And, there were only three of them. A bit warring as, I think, it was that same pack of five we used to see. Let us hope there is a den around and somebody is staying with the babies…
Enjoy the dogs, as I did.
