SANParks Blog

Nyala

Good day!  Another nice weekend has arrived and gone.
Thank you all for following this blog.
NaomiC, there is no shade in the Malelane Camp at the moment. Trees are still leafless. Bring your own shade.

On Saturday we did a H3, H1, H4 loop with breakfast stop at Nkhulu.   And along the road, we met single Nyala males at 3 different occasions. I thought one gets Nyalas on the north. Beautiful animals they are.

Upsss

And the Result

No cats and Dogs this time, but impalas everywhere! I have never seen so many of them. Every  hundred meters there were  some. I actually thought to call this blog : Impalas. General game was also very visible.  I remember, in summer one can drive for an hour with nothing in sight. Now the grass is low and not leaves yet, so visibility is excellent.

Steenbuck which did not run away

Hungry Kudu

Pop Art

Loner

What to do now ???

Lot was happenin at Sunset Dam

Chlidren are the same everywhere:

We left Park through Crocodile Bridge gate and then visited Spar for do some shopping.
On Sunday we did a very short drive. It was Sunday, and we decided to rest. We drove to Bergendal for some washing and the pool. I can inform you that the pool temperature is bearable. It is our first swim this spring. Very nice and refreshing!
And the new week is starting…
Regards from busy OB

Your pictures are delightful as usual but I particularly love the ‘pop art’ The Zebbies make beautiful pictures. The male lion on the previous post was such a good looking man, in good shape and a a joy to see. http://www.sanparks.org/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif
