Hi there and thank you for the comments…
yes, we were lucky and we become even luckier. Our friends came to visit us, and as Malelane Camp was full, they got a chalet for four in Bergendal.  So, we went to stay with them on Saturday and Sunday night. I wrote about “him” in one of the previous blogs. He is the lucky one and this time he really proved it.
On Friday afternoon, as C. was busy, I went to visit our friends and to do some washing. On the way back to Malelane I discovered the Marabou stork is back.

Saturday morning we decided to visit out Hyena Den, but found none. Instead, on the H3 there was this lonely Wild Dog. He was in the good condition, trotting and sniffing along, normal behavior, the strange thing was that he was by himself. Maybe there is a den with pups somewhere around???

Afternoon was a blast.  On Matjulu loop we found a leopard on the kill, up at a tree. Actually two of them, probably mother and a cub. While one was enjoying the meal, the other was lazing on the other tree.  And all that performance was followed by a hyena (and a lot of cars with tourists). OK, I promised no more Hyena pictures…

 We’ve managed to find that big herd of buffalos I mentioned in the previous blog, on H3.

And they had the followers… causing the herd to lose a member…

Unfriendly Lions

Sunday morning, one leopard was still eating on their tree. And the hyena was there too. Other leopard was invisible, but when a piece of meat fell on the ground there was a commotion and hyena run away ‘laughing’.  We took a glimpse of the other leopard hiding in the long grass and well protecting approach to the kill.

In the afternoon we did not even go out and spent it lazing around the camp. No point, one cannot be luckier than this… 
 In two hours on Saturday we had the Big Five! It took as even less on Sunday to repeat the score!
