Camera
Good day.
Weekend is coming and camp is becoming very busy. Looking forward to Monday.
We had a bad time with our camera.
Both us are using Vodacom 3G and yesterday all of a sudden it died. We have an MTN spare modem but it needed airtime. So C. went to Malelane for a bit of grocery and airtime shopping. He bought it and had it converted to data at MTN shop. And guess what??? It did not work. I was crossed, angrily jumped into the car and off to Malelane. Luckily it is just around the corner. Sim card was put into the modem upside down! My modem is working again. While I was driving lazily back, just at Malelane camp turn off, I was surrounded by hundreds of buffalos. Really hundreds… all of them around me on the road… looking at me. No other cars (when one needs them). And I DID NOT have my camera with me. It took me at least 10 minutes to get out of the herd. I drove quickly to the camp, grab a camera and back on the road.
And this is all I could get, some bums. They were on their way to the Crocodile River and… I have not seen them again.
This morning I was the first on the H3 road. Nice feeling, driving around below African Sunrise.
Nothing much to be seen, but Hyenas were waiting for me. I switched off the engine and prepared to take some pictures. And just after couple of shots, my camera died. Again! I needed to recharge it, though I did it a couple of days ago. Obviously I am using it too much… GRRRRRRRRRRR.
And… that was it for the day. (No more Hyena pictures – I promise).
At the moment I am contentedly doing my job and recharging my camera…

Great pics again – hyenas are quite photogenic don’t you think!?
Still hoping for a relatively quiet camp when we are visiting.
Thanks for the update – enjoy!!
