Veterinary Lines and Zones (Slide 30)
One of the most important boundary lines affecting the land use in the low veld is the veterinary fence lines.
These fences control the movement of cattle and seriously affect the success of cattle farming. Two fence lines affect farming with cattle or game .
These lines are illustrated on the map and different measures are in place within each of the areas between the fences and the boundary of Kruger.
These fences are to control the outbreak of wildlife related diseases such as foot and mount disease.
