South African National Parks today announced that by the end of July 2007, four two-sleeper units will be on offer (each with an additional sleeper couch) at Namaqua National Park near Springbok in the Northern Cape.
World-renowned for its floral beauty in Spring and its treasures of diverse succu-lents, this park’s attractions will now include this beautiful new wilderness camp.
Situated at the edge of the Skilpad area of the park, the new rest camp overlooks a beautiful vista stretching some 60km to the distant West Coast sea on clear days.
Each unit is fully equipped and tastefully decorated, both inside and outside fol-lowing traditional Namaqua building style. A large roofed veranda with sliding glass windows can be open on fine evenings and cosily closed off on chilly winter nights, while the indoor braai facility (there’s another one outside) can double as an attractive fireplace when winter comes.
