Media Release: Karoo National Park scoops top award
Date: 20th June 2014
Karoo National Park outside Beaufort West has received a 2014 Certificate of Excellence from the international travel site, TripAdvisor.
TripAdvisor is the world's largest travel site, enabling travelers to plan and experience the perfect trip. It offers trusted advice from real travelers and a wide variety of travel choices and planning features with seamless links to booking tools.
TripAdvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching nearly 260 million unique monthly visitors, and more than 150 million reviews and opinions covering more than four million accommodations, restaurants and attractions. The sites operate in 41 countries worldwide.
The award forms part of TripAdvisor’s campaign of celebrating hospitality excellence around the world. This prestigious award is based on the quality of reviews and opinions earned on Travel Advisor over the past year and signifies that the Park has consistently earned outstanding feedback from Trip Advisor travellers who have visited this beautiful part of the Karoo.
Park Manager, Nico van der Walt, says, “We are very humbled by this recognition. The certificate is evidence that we have a winning team here at Karoo National Park, and that we are doing something right.”
“From the moment a guest drives up to our front gate, we go all out to make them feel welcome and at home. This trend carries on throughout the Park, whether it be when guests come in contact with any of our staff members, use any of our facilities or participate in activities. The team members all strive to give our visitors the best possible experience while they’re here – some home-grown Karoo hospitality, and it clearly works, as this recognition reaffirms,” said van der Walt.
