Media Release: Robbers Foiled at Numbi

There was an attempted robbery at Numbi Entrance Gate in the Southern area of the Kruger National Park last night. It is believed that suspects attempted to open the safe, but they failed and no cash or valuables were taken, other than a few souvenir DVDs and ice creams.

It is believed that suspects attempted to open the safe, but they failed and no cash or valuables were taken, other than a few souvenir DVDs and ice creams.
“We condemn this incident in the harshest terms and vow to work together with the South African Police Service to bring the perpetrators to book,” said the KNP’s Executive Director, Dr Bandile Mkhize.
No one was injured during the incident.
The SAPS are investigating the case and a team from SANParks Corporate Investigation Service (CIS) has been tasked to assist with the investigation.
