Media Release: Bontebok National Park launches new “My Green Card”
Back to all news
Date: 26th April 2011
Bontebok National Park launched its new “My Green Card” on 21 April 2011.
The new My Green Card is a limited entry access card allowing 12 free day-visits per year and allows the cardholder to bring along up to 11 friends or family members. At R65, visitors will save an incredible R175 through using this card.
The initiative is a result of an agreement between the Swellendam Municipality and SANParks, whereby SANParks promised to provide affordable access to the park for locals.
“With the introduction of the My Green Card, we hope to further enhance our relationship with the local community. We want to assure them that their suggestions are heard and that we are here to assist them too. This card will ensure the locals are able to access the park and enjoy its facilities at reduced rates” says Bontebok Park Manager Bulelwa Msengi.
Residents of the Swellendam Municipality who wish to purchase a card can bring their ID, proof of residence and two ID photo’s when purchasing the card at Bontebok National Park reception.
