For the second time this year, the Kruger National Park (KNP) has had to close its Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate as the water of the Crocodile River has risen over the level of the access road.

For the second time this year, the Kruger National Park (KNP) has had to close its Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate as the water of the Crocodile River has risen over the level of the access road.

Guests are advised to use alternative gates like Malelane Entrance Gate (about 58 kilometres away) if they are coming to the Park this weekend.

It is also recommended that visitors to the park exercise extreme caution when driving on gravel roads and to take note of roads that have been closed, as they could get stuck and it might be some time before help arrives.

Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate was closed at about 10:00 this morning when KNP officials assessed the rising level of the Crocodile River as being too dangerous for vehicles to cross.
