Media Release: Popular Karoo National Park Golf Day open for bookings
Karoo National Park’s ever-popular golf day will take place at the Beaufort-West Golf Club on Saturday, 5 September.
“We want to thank the members of the community who have supported our golf day in the past and are looking forward to another successful golf day this year,” said Park Manager, Mzwandile Mjadu.
Funds raised by the annual golf day are ploughed back into important conservation projects in the Karoo National Park, which now covers about 90 000 hectares. Funds raised from the previous year’s golf day were used to refurbish the bird hide near the reception complex.
Fantastic prizes will be on offer, including weekend getaways to Addo Elephant National Park, Mountain Zebra National Park, Tsitsikamma National Park and Karoo National Park.
Prizes and lucky draws will be awarded at a prize-giving function and spit-braai at the close of the day.
The format of the golf day will be a four-ball better-ball stableford competition.
