SANParks is slowly breaking new ground and beginning to network through the exciting and fun social networking sites like:

To get in on the fun, follow updates and be a part of the big online conversation by browsing:

Follow SANParks on Twitter:
- @SANParks - our account that keeps you up to date with the latest stories as well as events
- @MelanieGovindasamy - SANParks web content editor
Here's what you need to do:
- You need to be a member to be a part of the conversation - so this is where registering comes in - which will only take you a couple of minutes.
- After registration is complete, click on "Find People" and type in SANParks in the search box and click on "Follow".
- And with that click, you can begin to follow SANParks in their various conversations and keep up to date with what is happening to people visiting the parks as well as what events are being planned... and just being connected!
Uploading photos on Twitter:
- Go to: http://twitpic.com/ or it can be found on the top right-hand navigation block.
- You need to log on with your Twitter username and password.
- Click on "Upload photo".
- You can then:
- browse for your photo
- add a message/caption to the photo and
- click upload.
- Thereafter your images will be visible to the public.
- You can also upload photos via your mobile:
- click on "Settings" and you will be instructed on how you can e-mail photos directly to your TwitPic account from your mobile.
Facebook is the one of the most popular social networking sites in the world and SANParks has grabbed onto the concept of networking in this highly technologically changing environment we live in. We have created a dedicated page for SANParks as well as groups for the 21 National Parks of SANParks.
***Please note that you will not be able to access SANParks on Facebook if you are not a registered member.***
Here's what you need to do:
- If you are not a member, please register. You will thereafter have to create your own profile.
- Then, search for "South African National Parks".
- You will then land on the SANParks page - click on "Become a Fan" on the left-hand navigation.
- If you are already member on Facebook, then follow the search procedure as stated above.
- You can also become a member of the various SANParks' groups catering for the specific parks by searching for them.
